Pumpkin Anecdote

Once, when I was either eleven- or twelve-years-old, I got a jack-o-lantern pumpkin a few weeks in before Halloween; I love pumpkins. I bathed that pumpkin every day and slept with it and kissed it good-night. After we carved it and it started to rot, I refused to throw it out. I buried the garbage bag in which my mom put it. I forgot about it and dug it up on accident nine months later.

…ew.

The shovel made a SPLURK! sound. Oh, August was not kind to the beloved pumpkin.

Happy Halloween!

More proof that we’re surrounded by morons

CNN posted the results of an AP/Ipsos poll that reports about one third of respondents believe in ghosts.

Additionally, 'About one out of five people, 19 percent, say they accept the existence of spells or witchcraft. Nearly half, 48 percent, believe in extrasensory perception, or ESP.', 'And nearly one out of four, 23 percent, say they've actually seen a ghost or felt its presence,' it says.

'The most likely candidates for ghostly visits include single people, Catholics and those who never attend religious services. By 31 percent to 18 percent, more liberals than conservatives report seeing a specter.' The last tidbit was fairly surprising to me, but most religious people are too lazy to attend their own religious services, so that doesn't shock me too much.

I always knew we were surrounded by idiots. Read something over a high-school level, people!
